Cargill set up a plant - food tech news in asia

International food giant, Cargill, has invested US$15 million to set up a new plant in India for cattle feed supplements. The high-pressure hydrogenation plant is located in Kurkumbh, Maharashtra, with an annual capacity of 35,000 tons, which intends to address milk productivity in cattle across India.

The plant will produce bypass fat, a health and nutrition supplement for cattle, launched under its Carfe brand. According to Cargill, its Carfe brand has proven to substantially improve the quality of nutrition for dairy cattle, resulting in better reproductive . . .
