Fix XBody debuts a new product
Fix XBody offers chia seeds high protein wafers.

On March 24th, Fix XBody, a brand under Want Want China, launched a new product – a chia seed high protein wafer. Consumers can buy the new product on Tmall, JD.com, and Want Want China’s mini-app on WeChat, all are leading online platforms in China.  

Want Want China is one of the largest rice crackers and flavored drink manufacturers in the world. The company focuses on manufacturing, distribution, and sales of snacks, beverages, and other products. The management philosophy of the company is “people-oriented, self-confidence and unity” in pursuit of being “a comprehensive food and beverage kingdom” and “No. 1 in China, No. 1 in the world.” 

In September 2020, Want Want China launched its healthy snack Fix XBody. The manager of the brand, Mr. Zhuang Ya’ru, said the company is aimed at consumers who are eager to lose weight.  

Currently, an estimated 200 million people in China are overweight, and meal replacements have gained popularity as Chinese consumers are more aware of the risks associated with obesity. Women are the main driving force behind the increased sales of meal replacements. Meal replacement products are not only popular among consumers in first and second-tier cities but also in third-tier cities and other smaller cities.  

The number of calories per serving is marked on Fix XBody packets to help consumers when choosing the product. The company has developed more than 20 products in 4 categories: oatmeal and grain powder for breakfast; rice crackers and grain bars for dessert; enzyme jelly and nutritious seaweed for afternoon tea; sugar-free coffee and oat milk for all-day healthy drinking.  

Fix XBody’s new product, chia seed high protein wafer has two flavors – cocoa bean milk and matcha red bean. The cocoa bean milk flavored wafer has about 16.0g of protein and 10.0g of dietary fiber per box. The matcha red bean flavored wafer has about 15.5g of protein and 11.5g of dietary fiber.  

More leading brands are making products that cater to consumers’ specific needs, providing more choices for health-conscious customers.
