Simple Love, a brand name of dairy products in China, has secured a Series C funding round of an undisclosed amount. The investment was led by DCP Capital with the participation of four other investors’ funds. The company plans to use the investment to facilitate upstream supply chain strategy, improve product development, and offer consumers premium and healthy products.  

Honest Dairy, the company behind Simple Love, is a leading dairy company focusing on the premium low-temperature segment. The company is at the forefront in putting forward the “no additives“ ”zero sugar” labels to its products. Simple Love and Father Love Formula are the company’s star brands. Honest Dairy also pays a lot of attention to the construction of the upstream supply chain. Building the pasture for the farms, and becoming a shareholder of Greenfields and YZ Milk demonstrate the company’s efforts to ensure stable and high-quality sources of milk.  

With the trend of increasing free income and health awareness together with the completion of a cold chain logistic system, the low-temperature dairy market has witnessed incredible growth over the past several years. In 2021, China’s low-temperature yogurt market hit around 70 billion yuan (~USD 11 billion). However, compared with other developed countries, China’s dairy consumption per capita remains low, and there is a great potential for market expansion in the future.
