The junk food industry
The junk food industry is increasing temporarily.

WeChat index (WeChat is the Chinese equivalent to Facebook) shows that the search for fast noodles increased exponentially since this March. Some netizens posted their “food stocking guide” on social media platforms. On XiaoHongshu (a leading Chinese e-content platform), the number of notes related to food stocking topped over 140,000, and about 10,000 notes are about stocking fast noodles and soft drinks, mainly coke.  

Most people stock junk food to prepare for extreme events. Fast noodles, ham sausages, food cans, puffed food, and soft drinks are labeled as junk food, but they are essential . . .
