On June 14, Zhejiang Biotechnology Co., Ltd. held an event in Xiuzhu National High-tech Zone to announce its plan to build 30,000 tons of plant-based protein meat factory, using Jiangnan University’s technology.
In March 2021, the government of Xiuzhou District, Wufanghai Group, and Jiangnan University signed a contract to build a brand-new modern food science and technology innovation center, with a title of "one lab, one park, one fund".
