Danone plans to invest €100 million - food tech news in asia

A recent announcement from Danone, the French leading food group, says that the company plans to invest €100 million (US$114 million) to open a nutrition research center in Shanghai and strengthen its Specialized Nutrition business in China.

The new center will develop evidence-based nutritional solutions tailored to the taste, tradition, and health needs of China’s consumers. This initiative will allow the company to work closely with the Chinese public and private sectors, academic institutions, dietary and medical experts to speed up innovation.
