Meiji boost ice-cream production - food tech news in asia

The major Japanese dairy maker brand, Meiji, announced that it plans to establish a new plant in Shanghai to boost its ice-cream production in China. Meiji has decided to increase the capital of Meiji Seika Food Industry (Shanghai) Co. through Meiji China Investment Co., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Meiji by 650 million RMB (US$98 million).

Meiji has announced multiple strategies of investment in China in 2020. In terms of Chinese businesses, Meiji is expanding its milk and yogurt business, ice cream . . .
