Diageo China - food tech news in Asia

Diageo, the world’s largest producer of Scotch whisky, announced its plan to build a US$75 million single malt whisky distillery in Eryuan County, Yunnan Province, China. This will be Diageo’s first China-origin, single malt whisky product, made in China. The company laid the cornerstone of the factory on November 2nd at a ceremony with government officials, industry representatives, and the local community.
