Group Standard for Plant-Based meat - food tech news in china

On December 25th, The Chinese Institute of Food Science and Technology (CIFST) issued a Group Standard for plant-based meat products (T/CIFST 001-2020), aiming to fill the gaps in standards, meet the market demand and guide the standardized development of the industry. The Group Standard will be implemented starting June 25th, 2021.

The Group Standard clearly defines plant-based meat products, raw materials, and cooked products. It also stipulates the basic requirements, technical requirements, inspection and decision rules, labels, markings, packaging, storage . . .
