New standard for infant formula in China - food tech news in Asia

March 18, the National Health Commission issued 50 new food safety national Standards, including Infant Formula Food Standard (GB10765-2021) and other 3 nutrition and special dietary standards. The new national standards are more stringent, even more than the European and the US standards.  

The formulation, revision, and implementation of infant formula food series standards are an important means to ensure the safety and nutritional adequacy of infant formula foods, to guide food manufacturers and standardize the technical requirements . . .
