YUM China ambition to open new stores - food tech news in Asia

Recently, Yum China released its 2020 annual report. Its revenue was 53.3 billion RMB (US$8.26 billion) last year with a total number of 10,506 stores. The Chinese fast-food chains are still hovering around 1,000 stores, while western fast-food giant Yum China is already moving toward its goal of 20,000 stores. Yum China’s ambition is to open additional 10,000 new stores in the coming years.
