A new way to produce less expensive cell-cultured meat

Cell-cultured meat is a very promising and more environmentally friendly protein alternative. However, its cost of production is still extremely high and needs to be reduced before it is more widely used. Now, researchers from Singapore and China have found a new way to use food waste to make less expensive cell-cultured meat, reducing production costs, and making it a viable option to feed the world's population.

To produce cell-cultured meat, animal muscle stem cells are grown on scaffolds that improve the cell's environment by facilitating nutrient transport and produce cell-cultured . . .
