Singaporean startup launches ice cream made from algae

Singaporean startup Sophie's BioNutrients has been working with the Danish Institute of Technology (DTI) to develop a dairy-free algae ice cream. The product is higher in vitamin B12 and iron than any other plant-based and dairy products.

Sophie's BioNutrients focuses on the innovation of microalgae raw materials, having previously developed algae milk and algae cheddar cheese. This new ice cream is inspired by chlorella protein. Chlorella is a green microalga that is cultivated by fermentation.
