Plant-based diet can reduce the risk of colorectal cancer in men

On November 29, 2022, a study published in BMC Medicine showed that a healthy plant-based diet was associated with a reduced risk of colorectal cancer (CRC) in men.

Colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer worldwide, and the lifetime risk of colorectal cancer is 1 to 23 in men and 1 to 25 in women. The research has suggested that plant-based diets may play a role in preventing colorectal cancer. This may be another health benefit of eating plant-based foods!
