Drivers and innovation factors for plant-based foods

A new report from Mintel shows that consumer concerns about the environment are driving the consumption of plant-based products to a new height. However, consumers are still increasingly concerned about the value of the plant-based products they buy and how they differ from meat products.

Data from Mintel's global new product database show that between 2018 and 2022, the number of new consumer packaged goods with plant-based claims continued growing by 302%.
